The MaPi contamination meter is an instrument developed for the measurement of surface
contamination of hands, feet and clothes of personnel working with unsealed radioactive sources (in
nuclear medicine laboratories, radiochemistry laboratories, production laboratories …), and it’s
expressly designed to measure the contamination of personnel in Nuclear Medicine PET centers and in
any case in all places where accidental contamination is possible and where an accidental
contamination is expected.

MaPi performs the measurement of surface contamination of hands, feet and clothing, allowing to
determine whether or not the contamination is below a predefined threshold.
The system consists of four detectors based on plastic scintillators coupled to photomultiplier tubes;
signals are acquired, managed and displayed by a PC-based system.

 MiRi

Through the measurement of the activity level performed by a pair of high sensitivity plastic scintillators with,  MiRi is able to determine the activity concentration (in Bq/g) of a waste containers.

Different calibration factors can be calculated, based on the used containers. A preset alarm thresholds informs the operator via a visual and acoustic signal about the activity content of the waste. Basing on isotopes information, the system gives the shelf life of the waste before discharging.

A self-adhesive label printer allows you to identify and the measured containers.

SonG is a new generation gamma area monitor for gamma activity dose rate measurement.
It can be installed in all facilities whereas continuous dose-rate detection is required.

Due to its design, it can be installed both as a stand-alone unit or in connection with a complete Environmental Monitoring
System. Murphil Monitoring system: a new approach based on the most modern CONNECTIVITY TECHNOLOGIES.

Great attention was given to GMP installation in clean rooms; the device design allows installation
without visible cables. This, together with the particular shape and the absence of any recess, avoids
dust deposit and allows great cleanliness.

The basic device configuration foresees a dual-microprocessor electronics, internal High Voltage
generation, four relays output, RS485 ready protocol, three relays indicating the status of the device
(good functioning, pre-alarm, alarm), an OLED display and an integrated energy compensated GM tube.
As an option it is possible to connect an external probe. Such external probe can be of two types:

  • normal dose rate range (with a single energy compensated GM tube)
  • high dose rate range (with dual energy compensated internal GM probe).

The normal range probe is ideal for all application such area monitoring in facilities, radiopharmacy,
preparation room, etc, while the high range probe is ideal for applications such as cyclotron vault
monitoring and installation inside hot cells.

Main specification:

  • Dual-microprocessor electronics
  • OLED display (128x 64 dots), for high visibility
  • One internal Energy Compensated GM Tube for ambient dose rate measurement
  • Four relays output for interfacing with external systems
  • RS-485 communication port for connection to monitoring system software
  • Three-color LEDs for system status
  • Acoustic alarm signal
  • Two configurable alarm threshold
  • Password protected software
  • Four selectable unit of measurement: cps, CPM, Sv/h, R/h
  • Anodized aluminium enclosure
  • 24 Vdc Power supply

The X-STRING system allows real time monitoring of the activity transfer from cyclotron to hot laboratories, by means of a set of compact and efficient detecting probes that can be dislocated all along the transfer line/s.

This allows to achieve full control over the line for ease failure detection, with no personnel radiation exposure risk for time-consuming manual search of losses.

All signals and power supply of the probes runs in a single 4-wire cable with no need closed loop circuit. This represents the most efficient configuration for very tiny installation spaces and long transfer lines layout.

Probes have long-life built, avoiding use of GM tubes which are not suitable for high activity reading.

Probes are microcontroller based and includes all necessary electronics to perform analog measurement from sensor, A/D conversion and communication.

Data are shown in real time over a rich HMI and alarm are shown in an alarm table, stored  permanent database and notified to site responsible person via e-mail.

Main specification:

  • Scintillation type detector directly coupled to high efficiency photodiode
  • Direct coupling to high efficiency amplifying circuitry
  • Very compact design due to the use of transimpedance amplifier with no feedback resistors
  • No high voltage required for operation
  • Smart probe: a microcontroller manages the amplifying circuitry, determines digital measurement and communicate activity measurement over a serial.
  • Power supply: 24 Vdc
  • Communication over RS485 line
  • Dimensions: approx. 22 mm diameter x 100 mm length
  • Measurement unit: Sv/h, Gy/h
  • Up to 128 probes over 1 line
  • Up to 1 km distance with no signal repeater

RAD NDI probes with analysis software by Gamma Technical corporation.

RadNDI is an intelligent scintillation detector for the separate or simultaneous measurement of alpha-, beta-, gamma- and neutron radiation with a wide range of scintillators.

It is suitable for the identification of radionuclides with activity estimation, measurement of radiation level in counts per seconds [cps], as well as gamma and X-ray radiation in ambient dose equivalent rates H*(10) [Sv/h](according to IEC 61017).
The analyzer is built into the detector, the instrument contains all necessary electronics for data acquisition and evaluation. RadNDI’s design and the applied materials ensure that it can be used under diverse operational conditions, indoors and outdoors, for fixed or mobile applications. In the appropriate configuration it is able to initiate local visual and audible alarms in case of a significant increase in radiation level. RadNDI has self-diagnostic capabilities.
